Living in Mirdif or flying out of DXB? You will likely use Centrepoint Metro Station, the first stop of the Dubai Metro Red Line, just a few minutes from Dubai International Airport.
You may still hear people call it Rashidiya Metro Station. That was its name until 2021! You can read more about its history on the Centrepoint (Dubai Metro) Wikipedia page.
This guide covers timings, routes, fares, free parking, buses, nearby places and the new Blue Line. You will also find the latest construction changes at the station, so your trip goes smoothly.

Where Is Centrepoint Metro Station and How Do You Get Inside?
Finding the station is easy. Getting into it changed a bit in 2025 and 2026, so read this before you drive.
The station sits on Airport Road in Al Rashidiya, next to the Al Rashidiya Bus Station. Mirdif is just to the east, and the airport runway is right beside it.

Recent access changes
Work on the new Blue Line has changed a few routes around the station:
- Car park road: RTA closed the road from Airport Road to the multi-storey car park. Drivers now reach it with a left turn from 49C Street.
- Footbridge: RTA closed the footbridge between the car park and the station in June 2026.
- Temporary route: A safe walkway on Level G now takes you to the Red Line entrance. Follow the signs on site.
These changes are temporary. Give yourself 5 to 10 extra minutes, especially at rush hour.
Centrepoint Metro Station Timings
Wondering if you can catch an early flight by Metro? These are the standard Dubai Metro hours at Centrepoint.
| Day | Opening time | Closing time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | 5:00 AM | 12:00 AM (midnight) |
| Friday | 5:00 AM | 1:00 AM (next day) |
| Saturday | 5:00 AM | 12:00 AM (midnight) |
| Sunday | 8:00 AM | 12:00 AM (midnight) |
Centrepoint is a terminus, so it sends out some of the first trains of the day. The last trains leave a little before closing time, so do not arrive at the last minute.
These are the official hours on RTA’s Dubai Metro timetables page. RTA changes these hours for Ramadan, public holidays and big events like New Year’s Eve. Check the RTA Dubai or S’hail app before you travel, or see every station on the official RTA Dubai Metro and tram stations map.
Peak hours run from about 7 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM. Trains are fuller then, but they also come more often.
Red Line Routes From Centrepoint: 3 Direct Services
Good news for daily riders! Three direct Red Line services have started at Centrepoint since September 2025.

| Route | When it runs | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Centrepoint to Life Pharmacy | All day | Jebel Ali, Ibn Battuta, Danube |
| Centrepoint to Expo 2020 (Expo City Dubai) | All day | Expo City Dubai, Dubai Investment Park, Al Furjan |
| Centrepoint to Al Fardan Exchange (Al Khail) | Peak hours only | Downtown, Business Bay, Mall of the Emirates |
The line splits at National Paints station (formerly Jabal Ali, renamed in June 2025). Look at the screen on the platform and inside the train before you board. That way, you will not end up on the wrong branch.

Centrepoint Metro Parking: Free Park and Ride
Want to skip traffic into the city? Park at Centrepoint and ride the train!
Centrepoint is one of only a few Metro stations with a free Park and Ride car park. Its multi-storey car park has thousands of spaces and is open 24/7.
How it works
- Scan your Nol card at the car park entry gate.
- Use the same card to ride the Metro.
- Scan it again at the exit gate when you come back. Leave within 60 minutes of your last Metro tap, or parking charges apply.
No Nol card? You can buy a Red ticket at the parking entrance.
Rules to know
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Free parking | Only if you ride the Metro with the same card |
| Not using the Metro | AED 10 per hour, up to AED 50 per day |
| Longest stay | 24 hours |
| Over 24 hours | AED 100 a day (up to AED 1,000), and the car can be impounded after 48 hours |
Remember the new access route. Turn left from 49C Street to enter, then follow the Level G walkway to the station.
Buses From Centrepoint Bus Station
The Metro does not reach every part of Mirdif or Al Warqa. Feeder buses fill the gap, and they leave from the bus station right next door.

| Bus | Goes to |
|---|---|
| F10 | Dubai Safari Park |
| F03 | Mirdif West |
| F05 | Mizhar 1 |
| F06 | Al Rashidiya |
| F60 | Mirdif 1 |
| F61 | Al Warqa |
| 11 | Al Awir Immigration |
| 25 | Gold Souq Bus Station |
| 44 | Al Ghubaiba Bus Station |
| 310 | International City |
| 320 | Academic City |
| 113 | Al Rolla Terminal, Sharjah |
| DXB1 | Al Musalla Bus Station, Ajman |
Heading to City Centre Mirdif? Check the S’hail app for the best bus from the station before you go.
Heading to Sharjah? Bus 113 runs from here to Al Rolla Terminal, right in the middle of Sharjah’s busiest shopping area. Read our Rolla Market Sharjah guide to plan your shopping trip.
A Metro-to-bus switch within 30 minutes counts as one journey on your Nol card. RTA buses do not take cash, so tap your card when you get on and off. Bus 113 (Sharjah) and DXB1 (Ajman) are run by other emirates and use their own cards, so check how to pay before you board.

Blue Line 2029: What Changes at Centrepoint
Big things are coming here. Centrepoint will become an interchange between the Red Line and the new Blue Line.

| Blue Line fact | Details |
|---|---|
| Opening date | 9 September 2029 (planned) |
| Length | 30 km |
| Stations | 14 |
| Centrepoint branch stops | Centrepoint, Mirdif, Al Warqa, International City 1 |
| Other branch | Creek (Green Line) to Dubai Academic City |
Mirdif and Al Warqa residents will get a direct rail link for the first time. The Dubai Media Office announcement of the Blue Line foundation stone has the official project details. RTA expected the project to be about 30% complete by the end of 2026.
Until then, expect some construction near the car park. The footbridge closure and road changes above are part of this work.
Alternate Options
Centrepoint is not always the best fit. Try these other ways to travel in this area.
- Emirates Metro Station (R12): The next stop west. Use it if you live in Al Garhoud or near Festival City.
- Taxi or ride apps: Faster for Terminal 2, late-night trips or heavy luggage. Careem and Uber both work here.
- Bus F10 or F61: Better than the Metro for Dubai Safari Park and Al Warqa.
- Bus 25 or 44: A direct bus to Gold Souq or Al Ghubaiba with no train change.
- Etisalat by e& Metro Station (Green Line): Another free Park and Ride car park, closer to Al Qusais and the Sharjah border.
