Bus and metro fares by zones, from RTA’s nol fare table
| Journey | Silver card | Red ticket |
|---|---|---|
| 1 zone | AED 3 | AED 4 |
| 2 adjacent zones | AED 5 | AED 6 |
| 3 or more zones | AED 7.50 | AED 8.50 |
RTA allows a 30-minute window to change between modes, which counts as one journey based on total zones. Children aged 5 and under travel free. The E102 fare of AED 25 comes from Abu Dhabi Mobility and sits outside this zone table.
Max Metro Station, formerly Al Jafiliya
Max Metro Station is on the Red Line, next to the bus station. It opened on 9 September 2009 as Al Jafilia. RTA announced new station names in August 2021 after Landmark Group took the naming rights, and Wikipedia records the change to Max on 4 August 2021. Many maps and older guides still say Al Jafiliya Metro Station.
The station has two side platforms. World Trade Centre is the next station toward Expo 2020 and Life Pharmacy, and ADCB is the next toward Centrepoint. Wikipedia also lists the bus connections 21B, 83, 88, C26, F12, X28 and X92 at the metro station, which are not among the six bays on RTA’s bus station map.
